HEAT POLICY for Lansing Parks & Recreation

HEAT POLICY:

Lansing Parks and Recreation has implemented the following policy for situations of extreme heat during games:

A predicted heat index reading will be obtained from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). If the heat index, at the time games are scheduled to start, is predicted to be 105 degrees or higher, games will be canceled and rescheduled.

We will monitor the heat index throughout the day and share any cancelation information on our Rainout platforms no later than 4 pm.
