Fishing Derby 2023

Registration NOW OPEN!

The Parks & Recreation Department will host the 22nd Annual Lansing Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 9:30am to 11am at Bernard Park, 15650 Gilman Road.

Fishing will take place from 9:30am – 11 am, followed by lunch. Award presentation will take place after lunch.

There is a $5 pre-registration fee per child for the event. Cost includes bait and a picnic lunch – attendees are advised to bring chairs and/or a blanket.

Youth up to the age of 15 can participate in the fishing derby.

All participants must have a fishing pole (one fishing pole per registered participant) and MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Anyone attending but not fishing may purchase a lunch ticket for $3 on the day of the Derby.

Registration forms are available at the Parks and Recreation office, 108 S. 2nd Street (M-F: 8:00am - 4:30pm) and online by creating an account at www.lansingks.org/parksrec (via Youth Sports Registration).

Registration must be received by Thursday, May 4th - Onsite registration on the day of the Derby will NOT be offered.
